The Design Process

All gardens are different, so all of our designs are unique, a well designed and expertly crafted garden will enhance your outdoor space and add value to your property. Our design process is simple and broken down into stages with a free consultation, about your goals and requirements, likes and dislikes, problem areas in your garden. A price will be agreed upon in writing, forming a contract of engagement.

Initial Visit & Consultation

The initial garden consultation is free and is the starting stage of engaging Garden Spaces service, for either designing your garden, discussing a make-over, or resolving a problem area in your garden, or if you just want some garden maintenance done. At this stage, we will take photos and some measurements and then email you a written quote for our services. 

Concept Plan

The first stage is to develop a proposed layout and spatial arrangement of your landscape, planting is schematic. Planting styles need to be taken into consideration, what you like and don't like, the maintenance and microclimates you can opt for a plant profile. The concept plan will have additional pictures, illustrations or examples of how the garden might look. Then further consultation will take place to ensure you are happy with the layout when you are the concept will be finalised.

Detailed Drawings

Once you are happy with the concept plan, detailed drawings can be done and further developed. From these, a landscaping estimate, to implement the new design can be done. You may decide to do the work yourself, we can work with you to get what you want done. We offer advice on planting and can offer help for specific parts of the design and work out a schedule for implementation.
